Tracking Payments with Stripe

Learn how to view and track payments and payouts made by your Clients via Stripe here.

Note: The navigation below applies to companies on TutorCruncher's current Stripe system. If you are on a legacy Stripe setup or use GoCardless, your payment settings remain under System > Settings.

While you can view all Stripe transactions directly on your Stripe Dashboard, you can also view your payments and payouts within TutorCruncher by navigating to Online Payments in the main left-hand menu.

Payments

The Payments page shows a full, paginated list of all card payments received from your clients. Each row displays the item, amount, date and time, the client (linked to their profile), payment method (card brand and last four digits, or bank icon for bank transfers), and payment status.

Clicking any payment opens a pop-up showing the invoice or Pro Forma Invoice it relates to, along with a full timeline of that payment's history — for example, when it was paid or refunded.

You can filter the list by date range, client, amount range, and status. If your branch has bank transfers enabled, a payment method filter will also appear. Active filters display as removable chips at the top of the list.

Payouts

The Payouts page shows all payouts from Stripe to your bank account. Clicking a payout opens a pop-up listing all the individual payments that made it up. If you have the Accounting Export permission, a Download CSV button is available within that pop-up.

Stripe Feed Export

The Xero/Stripe bank-feed CSV export is found on the Account page. Navigate to Online Payments > Account and look for the bank-feed export card. You can select a date range and download the file from there.
