[Tutor Guide] Global Profile

Find out what a Global Profile is, what it does & how you can create one.

Written by Maahi Islam

As a Tutor, there may be instances that you have applied to, or signed up with different companies. In order to facilitate this, we've given you the ability to set up a Global Profile. With a Global Profile, you can access all of the branches that you have been assigned to using a single login.

No more worrying about different passwords for different profiles - this feature allows you to use the same email across all of your Tutor accounts.

When you create a new account with a company using the same email address as an existing one, you will see a green banner appear on your dashboard during the sign-up process prompting you to link your accounts.

Linking your profiles will allow you to access all your accounts with one login. This will also allow you to create a Global Profile, which allows you to copy certain information from one branch to another.

Accessing your Global Profile

Your Global Profile can be accessed from the drop down menu by clicking your display picture on the top right hand of the screen before selecting 'Global Profile' from the dropdown menu.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information can be copied from one profile to the other?

Once a Global Profile has been created, most of your profile is copied across to your new profile, though a few parts are not.

What is copied across:

  • Basic details - your name, contact details, address and profile picture.

  • Skills and Qualifications - but only the ones that use TutorCruncher's standard Subjects and Qualification Levels. Any Skill or Qualification that uses a Subject or Qualification Level the company created themselves is not copied, because that Subject or Qualification Level only exists on their own branch.

  • Institutions - all of the Institutions on your profile are copied across.

  • Custom Field answers - these are copied across only where your new company has the same Custom Field set up on their Tutor profiles. Where they don't, the answer is left behind.

What is not copied across:

  • Documents

  • Resume

Note: Because Skills and Qualifications only copy across when they use TutorCruncher's standard Subjects and Qualification Levels, it is worth checking your new profile once it has been created and adding anything that is missing. Your new company may also ask you to re-upload your Documents and Resume, as those are never copied between profiles.
