Verifying mobile numbers for SMS Notifications

Learn how to verify your Client's mobile numbers here.

Written by Maahi Islam

When you save a user's mobile number on their profile, TutorCruncher will check whether this is a valid number for sending SMS. If it is, this mobile number will be displayed with a ✓ next to it, meaning the number can receive SMS notifications.

To add or edit a user's mobile number, go to People > Clients / Students / Tutors, select the user, then select Actions > Edit Profile and fill in the ‘Mobile’ field.

It's important to make sure that you approve your users to receive SMS notifications by inputting their mobile number in the appropriate format.

Note: the number has to be a mobile number. A landline is a valid phone number, but it cannot receive SMS notifications, so it will not be given a ✓ and no SMS will be sent to it.
